How it works

1. Activate Lightning-Rig Crew by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to each opponent.
2. Malcolm triggers, creating a Treasure artifact token for each opponent dealt damage this way.
3. Activate three Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 3.
4. Activate Lightning-Rig Crew by paying 3 and untapping it, giving it +2/+2 until end of turn.
5. Repeat until you have two or less opponents remaining.

This clever loop relies on Lightning-Rig Crew acting as a repeatable damage-dealing engine, which is brilliantly supercharged by Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator to turn that opponent damage directly into a steady stream of Treasure tokens. By sacrificing those very Treasures for mana, you instantly fund Umbral Mantle's untap activation to ready the Crew for another round, while also pumping its stats to lethal proportions along the way. Note that because Malcolm triggers for *each* opponent dealt damage, this engine scales gorgeously in multiplayer games, requiring at least three opponents to cleanly generate the net-positive mana needed to keep the loop going indefinitely.
