How it works

1. Cast Chromatic Orrery by paying at most 2 due to Sami.
2. Activate Chromatic Orrery by tapping it, adding CCCCC.
3. Activate Meticulous Excavation by paying 2, returning Chromatic Orrery from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Sami, Wildcat Captain into a massive cost-reducer, letting you cast Chromatic Orrery for a fraction of its normal price thanks to its artifact nature. Once the Orrery is on the battlefield, tapping it for five colorless mana provides more than enough fuel to activate Meticulous Excavation, bouncing the Orrery back to your hand for just three mana. Because Chromatic Orrery's passive ability allows you to spend your mana as any color, you can easily filter your colorless reserves to pay the white requirement for the Excavation. Repeating this process creates an endless cycle of entering and leaving the battlefield, generating infinite colorless mana, storm count, and artifact triggers while leaving plenty of leftover resources to draw your entire deck with the Orrery's activated ability.
