How it works

1. Cast Whip Silk by paying 1, attaching it to Chishiro.
2. When Whip Silk enters the battlefield, Chishiro triggers, creating a 2/2 Spirit creature token.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Spirit, adding 2.
4. Activate Whip Silk's second ability by paying 1, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the green mana of Whip Silk into a relentless engine of sacrifice and creation. By enchanting Chishiro, the Shattered Blade, every re-casting triggers Chishiro's ability to spawn a 2/2 menace Spirit token, which you immediately feed to Ashnod's Altar for colorless energy. You then use a sliver of that generated mana to bounce Whip Silk right back to your hand, ready to start the cycle over. While Chromatic Orrery isn't strictly necessary for the core loop, its presence helps fix and filter your mana if you need to pivot into other colors, all while Chishiro's end-step anthem passively grows your board if you ever decide to pause the sacrifice.
