How it works

1. Cast Lunarch Veteran from your graveyard for its disturb cost by paying 2, causing it to enter the battlefield transformed as Luminous Phantom.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Luminous Phantom, adding 2.
3. Because Humility causes Luminous Phantom to lose all abilities, it is not exiled when it is sacrificed, and is returned to your graveyard as Lunarch Veteran.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop hinges entirely on Humility's blanket static ability stripping away all card text, which miraculously protects Luminous Phantom from its own replacement-effect exile when sacrificed to Ashnod's Altar. Because the card returns directly to your graveyard as Lunarch Veteran, you can recast it endlessly for its disturb cost using the mana generated by the Altar, while Chromatic Orrery conveniently ensures you can spend that generic mana as any required color. Along the way, Lunarch Veteran and Luminous Phantom trigger infinite enters-the-battlefield, leaves-the-battlefield, and death events to fuel whatever payoff you desire.
