How it works

1. Cast Baithook Angler from your graveyard for its disturb cost by paying 2, causing it to enter the battlefield transformed as Hook-Haunt Drifter.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Hook-Haunt Drifter, adding 2.
3. Because Humility causes Hook-Haunt Drifter to lose all abilities, it is not exiled when it is sacrificed, and is returned to your graveyard as Baithook Angler.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Humility's blanket loss of abilities into a loophole for perpetual recycling. Because Humility strips Hook-Haunt Drifter of its replacement effect that would normally exile it upon hitting the graveyard, the creature safely returns to your graveyard as Baithook Angler, ready to be cast all over again for its disturb cost using the mana generated by sacrificing it to Ashnod's Altar. Meanwhile, Chromatic Orrery sits on the board to help filter your mana and fuel your strategy, ensuring you have access to the colors you need to keep casting your persistent angler over and over.
