How it works

1. At the beginning of your upkeep, Karn triggers.
2. Holding priority, activate Strionic Resonator by paying 2 and tapping it, copying Karn's ability.
3. Resolve the copy of Karn's ability, adding C for each artifact you control that cannot be spent to cast nonartifact spells.
4. Activate Filigree Sages by paying 3, untapping Strionic Resonator.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This elaborate loop turns Karn, Legacy Reforged into a massive engine by exploiting its upkeep trigger alongside Strionic Resonator. As you repeatedly copy Karn's ability to generate restriction-bound colorless mana, Chromatic Orrery steps in to wash that restriction away, letting you spend it as though it were any color. To keep the engine running, Filigree Sages feeds on that generated mana to continuously untap Strionic Resonator, allowing you to repeat the process indefinitely. Once you have infinite mana of any color flowing, you can activate Chromatic Orrery's last ability to draw your entire deck.
