How it works

1. Activate Chromatic Orrery's first ability by tapping it, adding 5.
2. Activate Chromatic Orrery by paying 3 and untapping it, giving it +2/+2 until end of turn.
3. Repeat.
4. Once you have infinite mana, you may instead use Chromatic Orrery's second ability.

By casting Ensoul Artifact on Chromatic Orrery, you transform the massive mana rock into an active 5/5 creature capable of defending itself and fighting. Equipping it with Umbral Mantle allows you to tap the Orrery for five colorless mana, then channel three of that mana back into the Mantle's untap ability. Because Chromatic Orrery's innate mana-fixing ability lets you spend that generated mana as though it were any color, you net a profit of two colorless mana with every single loop, generating infinite mana and an infinitely large creature. Finally, once you have secured infinite mana, you can switch to tapping the Orrery to draw your entire deck using its card-draw activation.
