How it works

1. Activate Elite Arcanist's ability by paying 2 and tapping it, casting a copy of Battle Hymn without paying its mana cost.
2. Resolve Battle Hymn, adding at least 3.
3. Activate Freed from the Real's second ability by paying 1, untapping Elite Arcanist.
4. Repeat.
5. If you control four or more creatures, this combo nets infinite mana.

This ingenious loop centers on Elite Arcanist imprinted with Battle Hymn, letting you repeatedly cast the exiled instant to flood your board with red mana as long as you control at least four creatures. Freed from the Real enchants the Arcanist to bypass its summoning sickness and tap requirement, using its untap ability to reset the wizard for just one blue mana. To make the colors work seamlessly across these different color requirements, Chromatic Orrery steps in to let you spend your generated mana as though it were any color while also helping to fuel the engine with its massive five-mana tap ability.
