How it works
- Activate Chromatic Orrery's second ability by paying 5 and tapping it, causing you to draw a card for each color among permanents you control.
- Activate Mind Over Matter by discarding a card, untapping Chromatic Orrery.
- Activate Chromatic Orrery's first ability by tapping it, adding 5.
- Activate Mind Over Matter by discarding a card, untapping Chromatic Orrery.
- Repeat.
This clever loop turns your hand into a bottomless well by leaning on Chromatic Orrery to fund its own activation costs. Tapping the Orrery generates five colorless mana—which Mind Over Matter then uses to pay the activation requirement, while its discard-to-untap ability resets the artifact to do it all over again. Crucially, Chromatic Orrery's passive ability allows you to spend that colorless mana as though it were any color, fueling the card-drawing engine and ensuring you never run out of fodder to feed Mind Over Matter's discard requirement.
