How it works

1. Activate the creature by tapping it, dealing damage to an opponent's creature.
2. The opponent's creature dies due to deathtouch, triggering the second ability granted by Thornbite Staff, untapping your creature.
3. Repeat until all opponents' creatures die.
4. Repeat each time a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control.

By outfitting your creature with both Thornbite Staff and Viridian Longbow, you grant it the ranged firepower to ping opposing threats at will. The missing puzzle piece is Rune of Mortality, which bestows deathtouch upon the equipped creature through the Equipment it enchants. Every time your sniper deals even a single point of damage, deathtouch ensures that target creature instantly perishes; thanks to Thornbite Staff's second ability, that death triggers an untap, allowing you to lock down the board and wipe out any creature your opponents bring onto the battlefield.
