How it works

1. Cast Traveling Plague by paying 3, attaching it to another creature you control.
2. When Traveling Plague enters, Ajani's Chosen triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature Traveling Plague is attached to.
4. When the creature dies, Traveling Plague triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to the token created in step 2.
5. When Traveling Plague enters, Ajani's Chosen triggers, creating a creature token.
6. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop transforms Traveling Plague into a self-sustaining cycle of life and death, fueled entirely by the mana-generating sacrifice of Ashnod's Altar. Every time you feed a creature to the Altar, Traveling Plague triggers its own return from the graveyard to the battlefield, where it immediately entices Ajani's Chosen to breed a fresh 2/2 Cat token waiting to receive the Aura. Because the Aura automatically reattaches itself to the newly minted token, you have a continuous engine to pump out endless colorless mana alongside a storm of entering, leaving, and dying creatures.
