How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing another creature that has an Aura attached to it.
2. When the creature dies, Cass triggers, returning an Aura that was attached to the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to another creature you control.
3. When the Aura enters the battlefield, Ajani's Chosen triggers, creating a creature token.
4. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the cycle of life and death into an endless engine of mill and tokens by abusing recursive Aura triggers. You start by feeding a creature to Altar of Dementia, which triggers Cass, Hand of Vengeance to loop a fallen Aura from your graveyard right back onto the battlefield. That returning enchantment acts as the spark for Ajani's Chosen, spawning a fresh 2/2 Cat token to replace the one you just lost—and because the Aura can attach directly to the new token, you've set up a self-sustaining loop that mills your opponents out while generating infinite death and sacrifice triggers.
