How it works

1. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Squee, adding .
2. When Squee dies, Hofri triggers, exiling Squee from your graveyard and creating a token copy of it.
3. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing the Squee token, adding .
4. When the Squee token dies, it triggers, returning Squee from exile to your graveyard.
5. Cast Squee from your graveyard by paying .
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Squee, the Immortal into an endlessly recurring sacrifice engine by capitalizing on Hofri Ghostforge's replacement effect, which exiles Squee upon death and spawns a temporary Spirit token copy in its place. Thermopod acts as the payoff and enabler simultaneously, converting each sacrifice of Squee or its token into the red mana needed to keep the cycle going. Meanwhile, Goblin Warchief quietly pulls its weight by reducing Squee's casting cost to just two red mana, making it cheap enough to recast directly from your graveyard the moment the token leaves play and returns the original card there.
