How it works
- Activate Birds of Paradise by tapping it, adding 1.
- Activate Sensei's Divining Top's second ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top from the battlefield onto the top of your library.
- Cast Sensei's Divining Top from the top of your library by paying 1.
- Valley Floodcaller triggers, giving Birds, Otters, Frogs and Rats you control +1/+1 until end of turn and untapping them.
- Repeat.
This ingenious loop turns your library's top card into an endless engine by leveraging Magus of the Future to cast spells directly from the top, allowing Sensei's Divining Top to constantly replace its draw with a trip back to the library deck-top. To fund this recurring cost, Birds of Paradise provides the necessary mana, and its tap is effortlessly untapping thanks to Valley Floodcaller whenever you cast the artifact. Because Valley Floodcaller also grants flash to noncreature spells and pumps up creatures like Birds of Paradise, the entire sequence snowballs into infinite card draw, massive storm counts, and towering power for your specific creature types.
