How it works

1. Activate Havengul Lich by paying 1, allowing you to cast Shambling Ghast card from your graveyard this turn.
2. Cast Shambling Ghast from your graveyard by paying .
3. When Shambling Ghast enters, Necroduality triggers, creating a token copy of Shambling Ghast.
4. Activate Altar of Dementia twice by sacrificing both Shambling Ghasts.
5. When the Shambling Ghasts die, they triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
6. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
7. Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 1.
8. Repeat.

This elegant loop is fueled by the continuous recycling of Shambling Ghast right out of your graveyard using Havengul Lich's targeted casting ability. Every time the Ghast re-enters the battlefield, Necroduality springs into action to automatically double your trouble by churning out an identical token copy. You then feed both the original and its double directly into Altar of Dementia to mill your opponent away. Finally, the resulting death triggers from both sacrifices create two Treasure tokens, which you simply crack for mana to pay for the Lich's activation cost and do it all over again.
