Thassa, Deep-Dwelling
Infinite turnsLock
How it works
Activate Avatar Kuruk by paying 20 minus 1 for each creature and/or artifact you can tap while activating it, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
At the beginning of your end step, Thassa triggers, blinking Avatar Kuruk and causing it to return to the battlefield as The Legend of Kuruk. Choose to have it enter with three lore counters due to its read-ahead ability given to it by Barbara Wright.
The Legend of Kuruk's third chapter ability triggers, causing you to exile it and return it to the battlefield as Avatar Kuruk.
Repeat each turn
This ingenious loop hinges on bypassing the massive mana requirement of Avatar Kuruk's waterbend exhaust ability by recycling the card entirely. Barbara Wright is the linchpin here, granting Sagas read-ahead so that The Legend of Kuruk can instantly enter the battlefield with three lore counters, immediately triggering its transformation back into Avatar Kuruk. Meanwhile, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling quietly resets the whole permanents-and-Saga cycle at the beginning of each end step by blinking Avatar Kuruk, allowing you to seamlessly repeat the process for infinite turns.
