How it works

1. Activate Mystic Sanctuary and Mana Crypt by tapping them, adding 2.
2. Cast Ghostly Flicker either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 2, blinking Mystic Sanctuary and Mana Crypt.
3. When Mystic Sanctuary enters untapped, it triggers, putting Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Repeat.

This Vintage-legal loop transforms a seemingly unusual pair of permanents into an infinite engine, powered directly by the mana generated from Mana Crypt to cast Ghostly Flicker. By targeting both Mana Crypt and Mystic Sanctuary with Ghostly Flicker, you reset the land so that its ability triggers upon re-entering the battlefield untapped, allowing you to seamlessly place Ghostly Flicker right back on top of your library. While The Lunar Whale isn't strictly necessary for the core loop, its passive ability lets you peek at the top of your library and play that retrieved instant directly from the top, keeping the sequence going endlessly.
