How it works

1. Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
2. When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Tormod triggers, creating two creature tokens.
4. Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
6. Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
7. Repeat.

This intricate loop turns Survey Mechan into a self-sustaining engine by manipulating where it goes upon dying. When you sacrifice Survey Mechan, Mortuary immediately intercepts it from the graveyard and places it right back on top of your library, making it ready to recast for cheap with the mana generated by Ashnod's Altar. Meanwhile, Tormod, the Desecrator triggers whenever that card leaves your graveyard, spawning Zombie tokens that Anointed Procession doubles into an army of four. Sacrificing those tokens to Ashnod's Altar funds the next casting of Survey Mechan, leaving you with an unstoppable cycle that deals infinite damage, draws your entire deck, and gains infinite life.
