How it works

1. Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
2. When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Teval triggers, creating two creature tokens.
4. Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
6. Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop revolves around sacrificing Survey Mechan to fuel its own massive discount and card-drawing activation, sending it straight to the graveyard where Mortuary immediately redirects it to the top of your library. As Survey Mechan changes zones, Teval, the Balanced Scale senses cards leaving your graveyard and triggers to spawn a Zombie Druid token, an output that Anointed Procession happily doubles into two tokens. You can then feed those tokens directly into Ashnod's Altar to generate the mana needed to recast Survey Mechan from your hand, ready to draw itself right back up and repeat the entire cycle for an overwhelming torrent of damage, card draw, and lifegain.
