How it works
- Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
- When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
- Garrison Excavator triggers, creating two creature tokens.
- Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
- Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
- Repeat.
This clever engine uses Mortuary as a recycling conveyor belt, ensuring that the sacrificed Survey Mechan immediately returns to the top of your library to be drawn again. As cards continually leave your graveyard, Garrison Excavator triggers to produce extra bodies, which are miraculously doubled by Anointed Procession to feed Ashnod's Altar for the mana needed to recast your mechanical threat. Through this recursive loop, you can continuously churn out resources to fuel infinite damage, card draw, and lifegain.
