How it works

1. Activate a basic land by tapping it, adding 1.
2. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from a creature you control, creating two 1/1 Saproling creature tokens.
3. Activate Earthcraft by tapping a Saproling, untapping a basic land.
4. Activate a basic land by tapping it, adding 1.
5. Activate Earthcraft by tapping a Saproling, untapping a basic land.
6. Activate Ghave's second ability by paying 1 and sacrificing a Saproling, putting a +1/+1 counter on Ghave.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns a modest amount of mana and a handful of counters into an unstoppable engine of creation and sacrifice. At the heart of the loop is Ghave, Guru of Spores, whose ability to spend mana and remove counters to spawn tokens is turbocharged by Anointed Procession doubling every Saproling you make. Meanwhile, Earthcraft turns those newly minted tokens into wild mana-generating powerhouses by tapping them to untap your basic lands, fueling Ghave's costs over and over again while growing him back up for the next cycle.
