How it works

  1. Activate eight Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 8.
  2. Cast Marut by paying 8.
  3. Marut enters the battlefield, creating sixteen Treasure tokens.
  4. Activate five Treasure tokens by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 4W mana.
  5. Activate Aegis Automaton by paying 4W mana, returning Marut from the battlefield to your hand.
  6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Marut into a self-sustaining engine by funding its own return trip to your hand. By casting Marut using mana from eight Treasures, its entrance triggers a refund of twice that many tokens thanks to Anointed Procession doubling the output, leaving you with a massive surplus of mana and artifacts. You can then use Aegis Automaton's activated ability to bounce Marut back to your hand for four mana and a white, resetting the board so you can recast the giant construct and repeat the process indefinitely for an unbounded storm count and infinite treasures.
