How it works

  1. Cast Songs of the Damned by paying B mana, adding B mana for each creature card in your graveyard.
  2. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1B mana.
  3. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
  4. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying E, sacrificing Salvager of Secrets, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning a creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  5. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1B mana.
  6. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
  7. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying an amount of E equal to Salvager of Secrets's mana value, sacrificing the creature you returned in step 4, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Salvager of Secrets from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  8. When Salvager of Secrets enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Songs of the Damned from your graveyard to your hand.
  9. Repeat.
