How it works

1. Cast the artifact by paying 0.
2. Toph, Hardheaded Teacher triggers, earthbending Izzet Boilerworks.
3. Resolve the artifact spell.
4. Activate Zuran Orb by sacrificing Izzet Boilerworks.
5. When Izzet Boilerworks dies, Toph, Hardheaded Teach triggers, returning Izzet Boilerworks from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
6. When Izzet Boilerworks enters, it triggers, returning the artifact cast in step 1 from the battlefield to your hand, as it's a land due to Toph, the First Metalbender.
7. Resolve the Zuran Orb ability
8. Repeat.

This brilliant loop relies on Toph, the First Metalbender transforming your cheap artifacts into lands, making them eligible targets for earthbending and sacrifice. You cast your artifact for zero mana, triggering Toph, Hardheaded Teacher to earthbend your Izzet Boilerworks into a creature. You then sacrifice that land to Zuran Orb for a tidy sum of life, which triggers the earthbent Boilerworks' death clause to safely return it to the battlefield tapped. When Izzet Boilerworks re-enters, its own bounce trigger targets the original artifact—now treated as a land by Toph, the First Metalbender's static ability—returning it straight back to your hand so you can cast it all over again.
