How it works

1. Cast Doppelgang by paying 6, targeting Zealous Conscripts and a mana-producing permanent.
2. Holding priority, activate Echo Mage by paying and tapping it, copying Doppelgang, targeting Zealous Conscripts and a mana-producing permanent.
3. Resolve the copy of Doppelgang, creating two copies of Zealous Conscripts and the mana-producing permanent.
4. When the Zealous Conscripts tokens enter, they trigger, untapping Echo Mage and any other applicable permanent.
5. Holding priority, activate the two mana-producing permanent tokens by tapping them, adding at least .
6. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop turns a massive X-spell into an endlessly compounding engine by leveraging Echo Mage at Level 4+ to repeatedly copy Doppelgang. Each iteration brings in fresh token copies of Zealous Conscripts and your chosen mana-producing permanent, allowing the Conscripts' enter-the-battlefield trigger to untap Echo Mage and keep the chain going. Because Doppelgang targets any permanent you wish, you will rapidly overwhelm the board by stealing and duplicating every permanent in play while generating infinite mana along the way.
