How it works

2. Activate High Alert by paying 2, untapping Myr Welder.
3. Repeat.

Because Myr Welder copies the activated abilities of exiled artifact cards, it can continuously tap to grow charge counters and yield massive quantities of colored mana, which is then funneled directly into High Alert's untap ability. High Alert not only fuels the loop's untap requirement, but its static ability also allows your creatures to assign damage by toughness and bypass defender restrictions, proving that even defensive enchantments can hide explosive offensive potential.
