How it works
- Activate Myr Welder using Nyx Lotus's ability by tapping it, adding an amount of or equal to your devotion to that color.
- Activate High Alert by paying 2, untapping Myr Welder.
- Repeat.
This clever loop transforms Myr Welder into a self-sustaining mana engine by utilizing Nyx Lotus, which must first find its way into a graveyard to be imprinted. Once exiled, Myr Welder gains the Lotus's devotion-based mana ability, allowing it to tap for a surge of white or blue mana. High Alert bridges the gap by providing the exact untap activation needed to ready the Welder, while its static toughness-damage and defender-bypass abilities are a welcome bonus for your board. By funneling a portion of that generated mana back into High Alert's activation cost, you can repeat the process infinitely to fuel massive spells or abilities.
