How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another nontoken creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers. Choose not to pay.
3. Activate Xu-Ifit by tapping it, returning a creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Xu-Ifit, adding CC.
5. When Xu-Ifit dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return it from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Ashnod's Altar to turn your creatures into raw mana while feeding the graveyard, and Concordant Crossroads ensures everything is ready to act the moment it returns. Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist keeps your engine running by pulling fallen pieces back from the graveyard, setting them up to be sacrificed right back to the Altar. Whenever Xu-Ifit itself hits the graveyard, the triggered ability of Nim Deathmantle steps in, letting you pay the required mana to resurrect Xu-Ifit and snap the Equipment right back onto it. Through this recursive cycle, you generate infinite sacrifices, death triggers, and enters-the-battlefield events without ever running out of resources.
