How it works

1. Activate Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar by sacrificing two Foods, causing Gilded Goose to deal six damage to itself.
2. Gilded Goose dies as a state-based action due to having zero toughness.
3. Scythe of the Wretched triggers, returning Gilded Goose from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Scythe of the Wretched to it.
4. When Gilded Goose enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating two Food tokens.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop starts when Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar targets Gilded Goose with its activated ability, sacrificing two Food tokens to force the bird to deal six lethal damage to itself. While that damage kills the Goose, the presence of Scythe of the Wretched saves the day by immediately returning the creature to the battlefield and equipping itself to it, setting up a continuous cycle of life and death.
