How it works

1. Activate Marath by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting two +1/+1 counters on Marath.
2. Activate Marath by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting two +1/+1 counters on Cryptic Trilobite.
3. Activate Cryptic Trilobite's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding CC that can only be spent to activate abilities.
4. Repeat.
5. Once Cryptic Trilobite has infinite +1/+1 counters, you may remove them for infinite mana, then repeat step 1 to get infinite +1/+1 counters on Marath, which can then be used for Marath's other modes.

This brilliant loop is entirely fueled by Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, whose replacement effect doubles any counters you put on a permanent. When you use Marath, Will of the Wild to distribute a counter onto Cryptic Trilobite, Vorinclex turns it into two counters, creating a net surplus. You can then tap into Cryptic Trilobite's activated mana ability to fund Marath, Will of the Wild and Cryptic Trilobite over and over again, rapidly scaling your board into infinity.
