How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers, creating a nonlegendary token copy of The Locust God.
2. Activate Tymora's Invoker by paying 8, causing you to draw two cards.
3. The Locust God and the Locust God token each trigger twice, creating a total of four 1/1 Insect creature tokens with flying and haste.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar four times by sacrificing the Insects, adding eight C.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This magnificent engine turns raw mana into a perpetual motion machine of buzzing swarms. By duplicating The Locust God with Helm of the Host, you double every card-drawing trigger on the board. When you pump eight mana into Tymora's Invoker to draw cards, the twin gods trigger in unison to flood your battlefield with four flying Insects. Sacrificing those creatures to Ashnod's Altar yields precisely the eight mana needed to activate Tymora's Invoker again, keeping the loop spinning endlessly.
