How it works

1. Activate Yawgmoth's first ability by paying 1 life and sacrificing another creature, causing you to draw a card and allowing you to put a -1/-1 counter on up to one creature.
2. The Locust God and Queza trigger.
3. Resolve the Locust God trigger, creating a 1/1 Insect creature token with flying and haste.
4. Resolve the Queza trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and an opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Repeat.

By paying life and sacrificing a creature to Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, you draw a card—which immediately awakens The Locust God to spawn a flying Insect token and causes Queza, Augur of Agonies to drain an opponent while padding your life total. That freshly minted Insect token then serves as the next fodder for Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, keeping the entire sequence looping smoothly.
