How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another creature, adding CC.
  2. Smothering Abomination's second ability triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  3. The Locust God triggers, creating a 1/1 Insect creature token with flying and haste.
  4. Repeat.

This loop transforms a simple sacrifice into a self-sustaining engine by turning every death into new fuel and fresh cards. You begin by feeding a creature to Ashnod's Altar to generate colorless mana, which simultaneously satisfies the upkeep tax of Smothering Abomination and triggers its card-drawing ability. That drawn card immediately rouses The Locust God, spawning an eager 1/1 Insect token that drops right back onto the battlefield ready to be sacrificed to the Altar all over again.
