How it works
- Activate Yawgmoth's first ability by paying 1 life and sacrificing another creature, causing you to draw a card and allowing you to put a -1/-1 counter on up to one creature.
- The Locust God and Shabraz trigger.
- Resolve the Locust God trigger, creating a 1/1 Insect creature token with flying and haste.
- Resolve the Shabraz trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and put a +1/+1 counter on it.
- Repeat.
This engine transforms the life you spend into an overwhelming cascade of card draw, counters, and tokens. By paying life and sacrificing a creature to Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, you trigger both The Locust God and Shabraz, the Skyshark to flood the board with flying Insect tokens while steadily growing Shabraz with +1/+1 counters. Because Shabraz, the Skyshark restores the life you spent to activate Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and the freshly minted Insect tokens provide fresh fodder for Yawgmoth's sacrifice ability, the loop feeds seamlessly into itself to draw through your entire library.
