How it works

  1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing another creature.
  2. Smothering Abomination's second ability triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  3. The Locust God triggers, creating a 1/1 Insect creature token with flying and haste.
  4. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to the sacrificed creature's power.
  5. Repeat.

This vicious loop feeds itself entirely through sacrifice, turning your own board into a relentless engine of destruction. By feeding a creature to Altar of Dementia, you trigger Smothering Abomination's compulsion to draw you a card, which in turn commands The Locust God to spawn a fresh 1/1 Insect token ready to be sacrificed right back into the Altar.
