How it works

1. Activate Yawgmoth's first ability by paying 1 life and sacrificing another creature, causing you to draw a card and allowing you to put a -1/-1 counter on up to one creature.
2. The Locust God triggers, creating a 1/1 Insect creature token with flying and haste.
3. When the Insect enters the battlefield, Distinguished Conjurer triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
4. Repeat.

This vicious loop turns your own expendable insects into a self-sustaining engine of card advantage and board control. By paying 1 life to sacrifice a creature to Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, you trigger The Locust God to swoop in with a flying Insect token whenever you draw a card. That very token's arrival triggers Distinguished Conjurer to immediately restore your invested life total, while giving you fresh fodder to feed right back into Yawgmoth's sacrifice ability.
