How it works

1. Activate Yawgmoth's first ability by paying 1 life and sacrificing another creature.
2. When the creature dies, Vein Ripper triggers, causing you to gain 2 life and an opponent to lose 2 life.
3. Resolve the Yawgmoth ability, causing you to draw a card and allowing you to put a -1/-1 counter on up to one creature.
4. The Locust God triggers, creating a 1/1 Insect creature token with flying and haste.
5. Repeat.

This brilliant engine converts a single life point and a creature into a self-sustaining loop, fueled by Yawgmoth, Thran Physician sacrificing a minion to draw a card and place a -1/-1 counter. That card draw immediately wakes up The Locust God, which replaces the sacrificed creature by churning out a fresh 1/1 Insect token ready to feed back into Yawgmoth's sacrifice cost.
