How it works

  1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing another creature.
  2. Dragon Appeasement triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  3. The Locust God triggers, causing you to create a 1/1 Insect creature token with haste.
  4. Resolve the Shilgengar ability
  5. Repeat.

This engine turns Shilgengar, Sire of Famine's sacrifice ability into a self-sustaining loop by feeding the graveyard right back into the battlefield. Every time you sacrifice a creature to Shilgengar, Dragon Appeasement steps in to force a card draw, which in turn feeds The Locust God's triggered ability to flood your board with hasty flying Insect tokens. Those newly created tokens provide the fresh fodder you need to keep sacrificing, generating an endless cascade of Blood tokens, card draws, and buzzing Insect swarms.
