How it works

1. Activate Kaya's second loyalty ability by removing two loyalty counters from it, causing you to double any tokens you create this turn.
2. Activate Zaxara by tapping it, adding .
3. Cast Wurmcalling with buyback by paying 2.
4. Zaxara triggers, creating two 0/0 Hydra creature tokens.
5. The Hydras enter the battlefield and die as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness.
6. Faces of the Past trigger twice.
7. Resolve the first trigger, untapping all Hydras.
8. Activate Zaxara by tapping it, adding .
9. Resolve the second Faces of the Past trigger, untapping all Hydras.
10. Resolve Wurmcalling, creating a 0/0 Wurm creature token and returning Wurmcalling to your hand.
11. The Wurm enters the battlefield and dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness.
12. When the Wurm dies, Faces of the Past triggers, either tapping or untapping all Wurms.
13. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop begins by using Kaya, Geist Hunter's minus ability to double all token creation for the turn, setting the stage for massive proliferation. With that multiplier active, casting Wurmcalling with its buyback cost triggers Zaxara, the Exemplary to generate two 0/0 Hydra tokens instead of one. Because those tokens enter with zero toughness, they immediately perish as a state-based action, which brilliantly triggers Faces of the Past to untap all creatures sharing that type. You can tap Zaxara in response to produce the mana needed to recast Wurmcalling, while the repeated Hydra deaths keep refreshing your untaps. It's a marvelous cascade of perpetual token generation and recycling that loops the buyback spell endlessly.
