Once animated, the Lotus can tap to yield a generous five-color bounty of mana, which then fuels Voltaic Construct's ability to untap the Lotus for a mere two generic mana. Because the Lotus produces more than enough mana to pay for its own untapping cost, this interaction nets infinite colored mana and leaves your artifact creatures perpetually primed for action.
