How it works

1. Play Oboro, Palace in the Clouds.
2. Both copies of Kodama of the East Tree trigger.
3. In response, activate Oboro's first ability by tapping it, adding .
4. Activate Oboro's last ability by paying 1, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
5. Resolve one Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
6. Resolve the remaining Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Oboro, Palace in the Clouds from your hand onto the battlefield.
7. The other Kodama of the East Tree triggers.
8. In response, activate Oboro's first ability by tapping it, adding .
9. Activate Oboro's last ability by paying 1, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
10. Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Oboro from your hand onto the battlefield.
11. Repeat from step 7.

This ingenious loop turns a single land drop into an infinite engine by leveraging a pair of legendary spirits. With two copies of Kodama of the East Tree on the battlefield—which you can easily achieve by having Auton Soldier enter as a copy of your first Kodama—re-entering a permanent allows one trigger to drop it right back down while the other is left over to float mana or advance your board state. By using Oboro, Palace in the Clouds as the repeating permanent, you can tap it for blue mana before bouncing it back to your hand for one mana, fueling its own re-entry via Kodama's triggered ability indefinitely.
