How it works
Activate Cauldron of Souls by tapping it, giving the creature with bloodthirst persist until end of turn.
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature with bloodthirst, adding CC.
When the creature dies, its persist ability and Dross Scorpion trigger.
Resolve the persist trigger, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield, which enters the battlefield with at least one +1/+1 counter on it due to its bloodthirst ability.
Resolve the Dross Scorpion trigger, untapping Cauldron of Souls.
Repeat.
This loop transforms your battlefield into an unstoppable transmutation engine, fueled by the omnipresent coverage of Mycosynth Lattice turning every permanent into an artifact. With that foundation laid, Cauldron of Souls grants persist to your creatures, while Ashnod's Altar converts those bodies into the raw mana needed to keep the cycle going. Every sacrifice triggers Dross Scorpion, utilizing its artifact-creature death clause to untap the Cauldron so you can repeat the process indefinitely. Because the sacrificed creature returns via persist with a -1/-1 counter, any existing +1/+1 counters (such as those from bloodthirst) will naturally cancel them out, ensuring your engine never stalls out from accumulated counters.
