How it works

1. Activate Cauldron of Souls by tapping it, giving Tatterkite persist until end of turn.
2. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Tatterkite.
3. When Tatterkite dies, its persist ability and Dross Scorpion trigger.
4. Resolve the Tatterkite trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with no -1/-1 counters on it.
5. Resolve the Dross Scorpion trigger, untapping Cauldron of Souls.
6. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability, dealing 1 damage to any target.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Tatterkite's static ability, which prevents any counters from ever being placed on it—allowing it to cheat the usual downside of the persist granted by Cauldron of Souls. When you sacrifice Tatterkite to Goblin Bombardment, it immediately returns to the battlefield without any -1/-1 counters, keeping its persist safety net intact for future cycles. Meanwhile, Dross Scorpion watches from the board, using every single artifact creature death to dutifully untap Cauldron of Souls so you can keep repeating the entire fiery process endlessly.
