How it works

  1. Activate Cauldron of Souls by tapping it, giving Arsenal Thresher persist until end of turn.
  2. Activate Lithatog's first ability by sacrificing Arsenal Thresher.
  3. When Arsenal Thresher dies, its persist ability and Dross Scorpion trigger.
  4. Resolve the Dross Scorpion trigger, untapping Cauldron of Souls.
  5. Resolve the Arsenal Thresher trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it, and then choosing to reveal at least one artifact card from your hand to remove the -1/-1 counter.
  6. Resolve the Lithatog ability, giving it +1/+1 until end of turn.
  7. Repeat.

This intricate loop turns the graveyard into a revolving door for your forces by turning Cauldron of Souls into a permanent engine of resurrection. While Lithatog provides the necessary sacrifice outlet to send Arsenal Thresher to the grave, Dross Scorpion acts as the mechanical heart that untaps your Cauldron each time an artifact creature perishes. The genius of the interaction lies in Arsenal Thresher's own entry trigger, which lets you reveal artifacts from your hand to immediately slap a +1/+1 counter on it, neatly counteracting and removing the -1/-1 counter that persist would otherwise leave behind.
