How it works

  1. If Nexus of Fate is in your library, cast a copy of Wild Idea by paying 3U manaR mana, searching your library for Nexus of Fate and putting it into your hand.
  2. If Sanar doesn't have summoning sickness, activate it by tapping it, creating a Treasure token. Then, activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding U mana.
  3. Cast Nexus of Fate by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one and shuffle Nexus of Fate into your library.
  4. At the beginning of your end step, Thassa triggers, blinking Sanar. It'll enter prepared due to its static effect.
  5. Repeat each turn.

This clever setup achieves an infinite loop of extra turns by turning Sanar, Unfinished Genius into a self-resetting tutor engine. Each turn, you cast Wild Idea—enabled by Sanar entering prepared—to tutor up Nexus of Fate, which conveniently shuffles itself right back into your library upon resolution. To fuel this expensive spell casting, Sanar taps to create a Treasure token whose mana, combined with Thassa, Deep-Dwelling’s end step blinking, resets everything: Thassa exiles and returns Sanar to the battlefield, where its static ability ensures it enters prepared once more.
