How it works

1. Activate Mairsil using Nyx Lotus' ability by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Mairsil using Staff of Domination's first ability by paying 1, untapping it.
3. Activate Mairsil using Quicksilver Elemental's ability by paying , causing it to gain all activated abilities of itself until end of turn.
4. Repeat.
5. If desired, you may use any of Staff of Domination's other abilities using Mairsil, and then use Quicksilver Elemental's ability to use them infinitely.

This brilliant engine comes together by feeding key artifacts and creatures to Mairsil, the Pretender, allowing her to absorb their activated abilities from exile behind cage counters. By caging Nyx Lotus, Mairsil gains the devotion-fueled mana production needed to power the loop, while caging Staff of Domination provides the crucial untap mechanism and outlet for infinite life, card draw, and untaps. The secret glue holding the whole engine together is Quicksilver Elemental, whose activated ability lets Mairsil effectively bypass her own once-per-turn restriction by refreshing her absorbed abilities. Once Quicksilver Elemental's ability resolves, Mairsil can endlessly untap herself with the staff and generate a surplus of colored mana from the lotus, creating a self-sustaining loop that infinitely fuels every single tool at your disposal.
