How it works

1. Cast Touch of Vitae by paying 2, targeting Axebane Guardian.
2. Activate Quicksilver Elemental by paying , causing it to gain Axebane Guardian's activated abilities until end of turn.
3. Activate Quicksilver Elemental using Axebane Guardian's ability by tapping it, adding at least .
4. Activate Quicksilver Elemental using Axebane Guardian's ability granted to it by Touch of Vitae by paying 0, untapping Quicksilver Elemental.
5. Repeat from step 2.

By casting Touch of Vitae on Axebane Guardian, we grant it a crucial {0}: untap ability that paves the way for our shapeshifting masterwork. We then use Quicksilver Elemental to copy all of Axebane Guardian's activated abilities, while leveraging the Elemental's own static ability to spend blue mana as any color to pay those activation costs. This lets Quicksilver Elemental tap to add massive amounts of mana through Axebane Guardian's mana-producing ability, and then immediately untap itself using the zero-cost ability granted by Touch of Vitae. By looping these activations, we generate infinite colored mana to fuel any subsequent strategy we desire.
