How it works

1. Activate Mairsil using Gilded Lotus' ability by tapping it, adding .
2. Activate Mairsil using Horseshoe Crab's ability by paying , untapping it.
3. Activate Mairsil using Quicksilver Elemental's ability by paying , causing it to gain all activated abilities of itself until end of turn.
4. Repeat.
5. If desired, you may use any of Staff of Domination's other abilities using Mairsil, and then use Quicksilver Elemental's ability to use them infinitely.

This elegant loop transforms our commander, Mairsil, the Pretender, into a one-man mana machine by feeding him the right exiled tools. First, Mairsil needs to cage Gilded Lotus to tap for a burst of three mana, along with Horseshoe Crab to untap himself for a single blue mana. The secret sauce is Quicksilver Elemental, whose ability allows Mairsil to continuously refresh his activated abilities and bypass the "once each turn" restriction. By weaving these pieces together, you generate a surplus of colored mana on each iteration, leaving you with limitless resources to fuel whatever grand design you have planned in Commander, Legacy, Oathbreaker, or Vintage.
