How it works

1. Activate Lotus Ring's equip ability by paying 0, attaching it to the Knight.
2. Activate the Knight by tapping and sacrificing it, adding three mana of any color.
3. Cast the Knight from your graveyard by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.
5. If the Knight has mana value 2 or less, this combo nets infinite mana.

This loop turns the graveyard into an engine by letting you repeatedly cast a cheap Knight—like any creature with a mana value of 2 or less—straight out of your graveyard, courtesy of Haakon, Stromgald Scourge's static ability. Fires of Yavimaya grants the necessary haste so your recycled Knight can immediately tap the moment it hits the board. Meanwhile, Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale makes this sacrifice loop completely free by reducing the equip cost of Lotus Ring to zero, allowing the artifact to leap instantly onto the returning Knight. You then tap the equipped Knight to sacrifice it to Lotus Ring's ability, generating a net profit of mana that fuels the entire cycle indefinitely.
