How it works

1. At tbe beginning of your combat phase, Mirage Phalanx and Wormfang Manta trigger.
2. Resolve the Mirage Phalanx trigger, creating a token copy of it with haste and that doesn't have soulbond.
3. Resolve the Wormfang Manta trigger, creating a token copy of it with haste.
4. The Wormfang Manta token's first ability does not trigger due to Tocatli Honor Guard.
5. At the end of your combat phase, the Mirage Phalanx and Wormfang Manta tokens trigger, exiling themselves.
6. The Wormfang Manta token's second ability triggers, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
7. Repeat each turn.

By pairing Mirage Phalanx with Wormfang Manta through soulbond, your combat phase triggers both creatures to churn out hasty token copies of themselves. Normally, Wormfang Manta brings a painful drawback by making you skip your next turn when it enters, but Tocatli Honor Guard elegantly shuts down that enters-the-battlefield trigger entirely. Meanwhile, when the token leaves the battlefield at the end of combat, its second ability triggers safely to grant you an extra turn—locking down an endless loop of consecutive turns without ever paying the price.
